One-and-a-half Side-mount yoyo trick video. Video transcript
What I’m going to show you now is the One and a Half Side Mount. It looks like this. So, to learn this trick, you want to get a good breakaway throw, let it pass right over your opposite hand, right over your yoyo hand, and you’re actually going to land it on the string closest to the yoyo, the string furthest away from you. Just like that.
When you’re working on this trick it may be easier, if, when you throw it, you actually stop the motion. Then, if you want to swing the yoyo a little bit, that will give it the momentum it needs. When the yoyo is swinging towards the string use your opposite hand to pull and that will get it right on the string.
When you get a little bit better at the trick you can try to do it all in one motion. Just kinda’ go like this. Get it right on the string. When you get even better you can do it without slowing the yoyo down at all.
Fot a lot of people this can be one of the most difficult mounts to learn, but it’s also one of the most useful… so learn it early and you’ll love it.
