This trick I’m going to show you is called Double or Nothing. It looks like this. When you learn this trick you want to make sure that you have a really good breakaway throw because it takes a lot of momentum to learn this trick in the beginning, and if you’ve got the breakaway down it will make this trick a whole lot easier to learn. So, if you’ve got that, you’re ready to go.
First, you’re going to throw the yo-yo. You’re going to let it pass right over the first finger of your opposite hand, right over your first finger on your yo-yo hand, over your first finger on your opposite hand again, and you’re going to land it right on the string. The string that you land it on is really important, you want to make sure to land it on the outside string, the string that is furthest away from you because that is going to setup your dismount.
To do your dismount all you have to do is get the yo-yo on the string, and take the first finger on your yo-yo hand and pull it right out. Then, you’re going to swing the yo-yo to the outside and pull down with your yo-yo hand and that will cause the yo-yo to flip over.
Once you’ve got that you can actually learn to do it all in one motion; looks just like this.
That’s Double or Nothing.
